Why is music important in high school?

Weekly Update
All three summer Band Camps have been and gone, and marching season is here once again!
For returning students the memories of previous years will now be flooding back, with a keen eye on the ultimate task ahead, to secure a place in the SCSBOA Marching Band Championships.
For our freshman it will be a whole new experience! From the end of Band Camp concert to the fun and frivolity of football games all the way through to the thrill and intensity of competitions.
So whether your student is a seasoined journeyman or a newbie, it all adds up to a wonderful emotional roller coaster ride that will stay with each and every one of them for years to come.
Parents, Family and Friends, your students are special. But you know that!!
They have been working hard over the summer months to bring an exhilarating and passionate new field show for you to enjoy. We urge you to come to the various competitions and performances, to not only support, but to be a part of their journey.

The Dunkin Donuts Grand Opening was a great success, with the band performing numerous pep tunes during the mornings ceremony.
We would like to thank Dunkin Donuts for their generous $500 donation.

Once again a BIG thank you goes out to Danyell Schepman and her amazing crew for getting all the fittings done during Band Camp #3.
We would also like to extend our thanks to all the volunteers who helped in anyway during all three band camps or getting instruments etc to/from Dunkin Donuts!

Water Donations: If you are able to donate a case of water we would greatly appreciate this! Our kids need to stay hydrated not only through band camp but throughout the year and we like to have lots of water on hand. Water can be dropped off anytime to the band room.

Videos and Pictures
This year we are pleased to announce we have an official band and CG video/photographer. However, he can only be in one place at a time. If you take video or photographs at any events throughout the year and would like to share them, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Candid and performance shots are always great to look back on.
As long as they are in standard formats we can accept the original photos and video footage. We can also embed youtube videos too.
